HOW IT WORKS
I am confused!
There are three kinds of donors.
- You donate your unwanted electronic devices. They get refurbished and put on the PARTS 4 YOU list.
or
- You make a monetary donation to VISAS and then select item(s) of equal value from the PARTS 4 YOU list.
or
- You make a monetary donation to VISAS.
Why go through such a convoluted process when I can just make a donation to VISAS?
There are other reasons why this is a good thing (in no particular order):
- You want to contribute to VISAS but can not afford to donate money.
or
- You want to give your unwanted electronic devices a second life.
or
- You want to declutter your garage/office/den.
or
- You dont like the idea of sending your unwanted electronic items to the landfill.
or
- etc.
How do I donate my unwanted electronic devices?
CHAT WITH ME and we will schedule a convenient time for pickup or dropoff.
How can I get parts from the parts list?
To get parts from the parts list you need to add up the value of the parts you want, make a donation to VISAS and tell me you have done so.
Then we will arrange free shipping, free delivery or pickup of the parts.
How do I donate to VISAS?
To donate to VISAS please visit visasweb.ca and click the donate button.
What happens to useless unwanted electronic devices?
Useless unwanted electronic devices are stripped down within reason and sorted.
Cables, aluminium, copper and ferric metals are stored until the end of each skiing season and then taken to a metal buyer.
Said buyer will make a donation to VISAS in the value of the metal.
All other items will be taken to the proper endpoint for responsible recycling.
What about accountability?
Monthly reports are posted in the NEWS section of this site.
This includes data on items received, items disposed of, current metals inventory etc.
No personal information will be posted about the donors.
How do I get recognized?
With your permission I will post your first name and first letter of your last name and your place of residence (ie Town/Hamlet/Village, no address) on the MY SPONSORS page.
ie: Chantale L., Surrey, BC
I own a business and want to be recognized.
With your permission I will post your business address, description, logo and link to your website on the MY SPONSORS page.
You will have to place a link on your website to secondcreek.ca.
Are you on social media?
Maybe. But not for this.
I am looking for honest donations for VISAS with no strings attached.
The only way to contact me is via CHAT WITH ME or by cell.
To get my cell number you have to CHAT WITH ME first.
I am not against social media, however it has no purpose for this project.
